Perfect for businesses who need web design services on a monthly basis, but don’t want to hire a full-time designer.

    • You will get priority! Since you are paying in advance, a block of time is already allocated to you each month.
How does it work?

A retainer fee is like a monthly design fee. It is paid upfront each month before work is ordered. Essentially, you are paying for time versus a specific service.

Based on the retainer package you select, I will block out my schedule with the appropriate amount of hours each month and plan my workload accordingly. You have peace of mind knowing that you will receive a pre-established amount of work each month, without having to worry about what other client projects are ahead of you!

Web Design Retainer Details:

  • 3-month minimum commitment. At the end of 3 months, we will re-evaluate the program to ensure the number of hours are fitting your business needs. After that, we can move to 6, 9, or 12-month commitments, or continue with the 3-month retainer plan.
  • Overage hours each week will be billed at the standard hourly rate of $100/hour.
  • Unused hours expire at the end of each month. This is to ensure that I can allocate time for your projects each week and plan my workload accordingly.
  • You will get an invoice 4-5 business days before the first of each month. The invoice will include the monthly retainer rate for that month and any additional charges from the previous month.

What You Get:

  • Web Page Content & Imagery Updates for Established Web Pages
  • New Web Pages. The official time estimate will be discussed at the beginning of the month. If new content is needed during mid-month we will schedule a meeting and set timelines accordingly.
  • Digital Materials – email templates, social media graphics, blog banners, and other web graphics such as icons and featured images.
  • Web Maintenance & Security Checks
  • Management of Existing Store Products. If new products need to your store we will create a plan at the beginning of the month.
  • Technical Design Issues & Troubleshooting.
  • Additional services are available upon request

Important Info:

  • Services do not include logo design or branding redesign. Logos will be charged at an hourly rate of $75/hour and full branding/rebranding services will be quoted as a new graphic design project.
  • Services do not include website redesign overhauls. This will be quoted as a new project. These include layouts, headers, navigation changes, and other large changes that require reformatting and responsive testing.
  • E-commerce design and setup are not included in the retainer package but will need to be quoted as a new web design project proposal.
  • Services do not include additional costs like stock photography purchases, subcontractor fees, web hosting purchases, fonts, paid plugins, and printing. I will consult with you before beginning project work to identify any fees or costs that may be billed in addition to your retainer agreement.
  • Search Engine Optimization will be a quoted project and not included in your retainer agreement. This includes off-page, local, and technical SEO.
  • Retainer agreements are meant to maintain and edit an already-developed website.
  • Pricing is subject to change for all package levels. If you commit to a plan your pricing will be safe until the contract time expires.

2. Contract

I will send over a contract outlining my policies, expectations, and deliverables. The contract will state your desired time commitment level and other important information listed on this page. This contract is to ensure that all parties are held accountable and will always be your resource for policy information that is subject to change.

3. Invoicing

Once I receive your invoice payment we will discuss your deliverables and due dates. Prior to the 2nd month’s invoice, we will have a phone call to review the next month’s priorities.

3. Repeat

We will repeat the process each month for the remainder of the retainer level you’ve selected.

4. Reevaluate

At the end of your contract, we will review the program to see if you want to adjust the number of hours reserved each month before signing again. All contract agreements will require a signature before any design work begins. This is a non-negotiable.
